The New
Hartford Volunteer Ambulance association is located in the Northwest
Hills of Connecticut and serves the towns of New Hartford, Barkhamsted,
and a portion of Hartland. We provide emergency care at the level of EMT-Intermediate
with the ability to intercept with a Campion Paramedic for Advanced Life
Support. NHVA has two Type III Ambulances, a 2005 LifeLine (NH-1)
and a 1997 Horton (NH-2) and we are currently in the process of
transitioning to a new
2009 LifeLine to replace NH-2. We respond to approximately 700
emergency calls a year to our primary service area and our surrounding
towns under mutual aid agreements. We have mutual aid agreements
with Winsted Area Ambulance, Canton Ambulance, and Harwinton Ambulance.
We also provide first responder service, to arrive on scene before the
ambulance to initiate care, in our primary service area. |
